As we look to the future, partnerships must be at the heart of our strategy. Global progress is driven by networks of trust and Jamaica, along with our CARICOM family, must position ourselves within that network.
We need stronger ties within CARICOM and deeper, more strategic engagement with partners across Africa, North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and the Middle East.
The emerging global order is no longer unipolar. Power is more dispersed, and with that comes new opportunities we must not ignore. For too long, we have left gains on the table, particularly in trade and cooperation with Africa, and we must now act with intention.
Within CARICOM, we already possess much of the resources to meet our people’s needs.
The question is no longer about what we have, but whether we are truly ready to unite and act. The global shifts we’re witnessing should be a wake-up call.
The time to unlock prosperity for our people is not tomorrow, it is now.
