This description of Litecoin needs to change now. It is not a hard or soft fork of Bitcoin. It does not share the blockchain history. It had its own genesis block. Until these 'official' descriptions are changed and show accuracy, it is not reliable. The below is actually from @coinbase believe it or not. The exchange where @SatoshiLite actually built the software engineering when the company was in its infancy. Coinbase, please change your description to accurately describe Litecoin to your users. If you'd like a template I'm sure the foundation can provide you one. That goes for any other exchanges, institutions, or services that have Litecoin provided as well.
