According to crypto detective ZachXBT, recently, Brazilian central bank service provider C& M Software suffered a cyber attack, resulting in a loss of approximately $140 million. On June 30, 2025, the reserve accounts of six financial institutions were illegally hacked, and attackers exchanged fiat currency for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT through Latin American OTC and exchanges. According to my estimation, at least 30 to 40 million US dollars have been exchanged for cryptocurrency. Brazilian law enforcement revealed that criminals only paid C& An employee of M obtained their company login account and password for $2760 (15000 Brazilian reals). ZachXBT stated that when the time is right, it will disclose the theft addresses related to this incident, as it has been assisting in freezing funds and tracking unmarked over-the-counter transactions.
