Odaily Planet Daily News: Minna Bank, Japan's first digital bank, announced a joint research project with Fireblocks, Solana Japan, and TIS to explore the feasibility of issuing stablecoins based on the Solana blockchain and evaluate its practical application potential in cross-border payments, physical asset transactions, and daily financial services. The project will also investigate how Web3 wallets can enhance users' payment experience. With the global market value of stablecoins surpassing 250 billion US dollars, traditional institutions in Japan, including SMBC, are also accelerating their layout, aiming to use stablecoins to improve the efficiency of fund settlement and meet the financial needs of trade services.
