Several years ago, I had the privilege of being in a meeting once with @arrington, who was being quite generous with his time, willing to offer invaluable advice.
Although this particular meeting had NOTHING to do with @Spend_The_Bits, @Jay_SpendDBits was present during the meeting.
After listening intently for over 10 minutes, Arrington politely, but firmly, interrupted and said:
“Guys, you’ve been speaking for 10 minutes and I haven’t seen the product or solution you’re offering. I’m sure the team’s great and I’m sure your assumptions on revenue are to the right and up 🚀 like everyone’s else’s - which is bullshit by the way. Just show me the product and let it speak for itself”, or similar words to that effect.
@Jay_SpendDBits never forgot that meeting with @arrington and describes 👇 a brief encounter with the CEO of @circle, @jerallaire.
Jay doesn’t waste a second simply saying:
“Hi I’m Jay, the founder of @Spend_The_Bits, now watch this, demonstrating the incredible payment app Jay’s built - first utilizing the XRPL to solve the Bitcoin dilemma (ie spending your BTC to buy coffee or lunch and not having to wait 10 minutes to an hour), and later utilizing @FlareNetworks, incorporating USDC, MasterCard, etc.
Founders who listen and heed advice are the best. 👏
