90%+ of DeFi TVL lives on EVM chains today. Babylon Genesis will add EVM support to combine Bitcoin security (via CosmWasm) with EVM’s mature DeFi ecosystem, aiming to become the main hub for BTCFi. Both CosmWasm and EVM will share a unified token ledger, enabling full interoperability between apps and a seamless user experience for both existing and new users. The EVM integration is in public testnet with a mainnet launch targeted for late Q3 to early Q4 2025.
