BOB announces the introduction of native BTC into DeFi system on BitVM testnet

The official statement states that the successful launch of native BTC on the BitVM testnet has solidified BOB's position as the "home" of Bitcoin DeFi, as it introduces native BTC (rather than encapsulated BTC) into its extensive Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem, which is fundamentally different from other centralized custody institutions or multi signature encapsulated BTC currently used in DeFi. It is reported that the testing network is P2P.org、Lombard、Solv Protocol、Amber Group、Ankr、RockawayX、Fiamma、UTXO Management、Luganodes Provide support to ten industry leaders and DeFi leading institutions, including SatLayer. After testing online, BitVM Bridge and native BTC will be launched on the BOB mainnet in the fourth quarter of 2025.
