Greater Mandeville Water Supply System, the largest water infrastructure project in Manchester’s history. This system will carry water from the plains of St. Elizabeth, up Spur Tree, into Mandeville, and across central, southern, and northwestern Manchester, bringing long-overdue relief to residents. We’ve already begun: ☑️ Upgrading the Moravia and Two Meetings Water Treatment Plants ☑️ Laying 80 million in pipelines between Mile Gully and Christiana ☑️ Preparing to commission the first phase of the Mandeville system in a matter of weeks These works are not only improving access to water, they are also unlocking housing and economic growth in the region. Now, we are going further. I’ve instructed Minister Matthew Samuda to begin the Greater Manchester Water Supply Project, aimed at ensuring that every home, including rural areas, has access to reliable water. This is how your government is turning long-standing challenges into real, lasting solutions.
