Both IBK Enterprise Bank and New Korea Finance have applied for the Korean won stablecoin trademark

According to Seoul Economy, IBK Enterprise Bank and New Korea Financial Holdings have applied for the Korean won stablecoin trademark, joining the competition for Korean won stablecoin issuance. IBK Enterprise Bank applied for 10 trademark rights including "IBKKRW", "IBKRW", and "ONEIBK" on the 27th. These trademarks are intended for use in fields such as "stablecoin electronic transfer business" and "blockchain based digital financial asset management business". On the 26th, Shinhan Financial Holdings also applied for 21 trademarks related to stablecoins, including "KRWSHB," "SFGKRW," and "SHKRW. The application project includes "Cryptocurrency Financial Trading Business" and "Cryptocurrency Intermediary Business".
