Economist Peter Schiff tweeted that Trump, in order to cater to his donors and promote his family business, claimed that Bitcoin "reduces the pressure on the US dollar and is beneficial to the country. However, selling US dollars to buy Bitcoin will put additional pressure on the US dollar. Furthermore, wasting resources on Bitcoin is harmful to the country.
