1、 The phrase 'all leaning towards blaming Curve' in the Chinese section is a false public opinion
The true 'negative voice' mostly comes from KOCs/KOLs associated with OneKey, who concentrate on speaking out in a short period of time, with highly consistent expression, blaming objects, and word style, clearly organized.
This is not a true 'user consensus', but the result of a minority controlling the narrative.
2、 OneKey and its KOC have employed various misleading methods
Confusing the developer identity and shaping Wavey0x as the official developer of Curve
Intentionally blurring the boundary between Curve and Resupply
• Use victim identity to reinforce emotional attacks and divert public attention
• Exchanging the definition of "insurance" and misleading users, Curve should bear responsibility
These behaviors have already constituted misleading to the public and damaging others' brands.
3、 What is the fact?
Wavey0x is not a core member of Curve, submitting a PR does not mean joining the team
Curve has never been involved in Resupply's contract deployment, governance, or funding operations
The bug with Resuppling is caused by the failure to destroy the initial share during Vault initialization, which is an implementation error of ERC4626 and not related to Curve
Clarifying these is not shirking responsibility, but helping users clarify the boundaries of responsibility in DeFi. If anyone can 'use your open source code to keep you safe', the entire ecosystem will not function properly.
4、 Empathy and clarifying facts do not conflict
I completely agree: Curve should have stepped forward earlier to calm emotions and express support for affected users. But equally important is that we cannot let 'whoever has a strong emotion has reason' become the norm in the community. A truly empathetic person will first figure out what happened instead of immediately finding a famous scapegoat.
5、 Curve doesn't need to foot the bill for Resupply's mistakes, but needs to respond more maturely to trust crises
Curve is not innocent in this matter, but certainly not a criminal. It needs to be more proactive in communicating with users, expressing a clear stance, and avoiding passive attacks in silence.
As members of the community, we should also resist information manipulation and emotional manipulation. Maintaining the rationality of the entire DeFi discussion environment, rather than taking sides for a specific project.
