🔸@ NexusLabs launched Testnet III today, which allows mining and earning points. Here are some FAQs.
▪️ What project is it? Is there any financing available?
One L1 chain. Users can connect devices, contribute computing power to AI, and receive rewards.
Nexus has raised $27.2 million in funding, led by Pantera and Dragonfly.
▪️ Contribute computing power? Specifically, what is the pattern?
My device is connected to the Nexus network and running my own zkVM instance.
Nexus sends programs and input data to my device.
Nexus zkVM will execute the program and generate proof on my device.
The proofs and performance metrics I generate will be submitted to the network and rewarded accordingly.
▪️ How to participate?
Create an official account, then click the button to provide computing power with just one click: https://app.nexus.xyz/
Register a CLI node and participate by running the CLI: https://app.nexus.xyz/nodes
Web browsers are more convenient and do not require technical knowledge;
CLI nodes are more flexible in participating and can adjust the computing power contributed by the devices themselves, but require a certain level of technical knowledge.
You can connect multiple devices with one account. For example, using one Google account to connect to desktop computers, mobile phones, laptops, etc.
You can even verify calculations in multiple browser tabs simultaneously, with each tab using a CPU core.
▪️ What are NEX Test Network Points and NEX Test Network Tokens?
Users who contribute computing power can earn points, which can be exchanged for testnet tokens.
Currently, 1000 NEX points can be exchanged for 1 NEX token, but this ratio is not fixed and may be adjusted in the future.
▪️ Is it suitable to participate now?
After October 2024, Nexus launched three Testnets and one Devnet in succession.
Each Testnet only lasted for a few days, while Devnet lasted for four months.
The newly launched Testnet III will remain active until the Nexus mainnet is launched later in Q3.
Therefore, this Testnet III will last for "several weeks" instead of the "days" of the previous testnet, and after the participation time is extended, there should be a chance to gain better returns.
When it comes to mining interactions, it is recommended to use "idle devices that do not store important data" for operations, DYOR。
