Bitcoin is the release valve to the overinflated, underperforming fiat stock market. The FTSE 100 is up just 50% since 2008, with over £2.2trillion in market cap. At a time where investors are desperate for returns due to the cost of living crisis, investors have very little alternatives now. Due to further regulations, tax increases and the wealthy leaving, real estate is no longer a viable investment. While, the UK used to be seen as a safe haven for Europe and an option for the wealthy to park their cash or invest. It is no longer a hedge anymore. Hence gilt yields are at multi decade highs and will continue to climb higher. The UK investor is running out of options, and the answer is becoming ever so obvious.
