According to Cointelegraph, the Meta Pool encryption protocol has been hacked, and attackers have successfully minted 9705 mpETH tokens worth nearly $27 million using the "fast release" function and ERC4626 mint() vulnerability. However, due to the low liquidity of the affected pool, the hacker ultimately only stole about 52.5 Ethereum (approximately $132000) from the liquidity pool. The Meta Pool early detection system promptly detected and suspended the affected smart contracts, preventing further losses.
