Today in Tirana, I welcomed the leaders of the South-East European Cooperation Process at the summit of Albania’s SEECP Chairmanship and the handover to Bulgaria. A fruitful discussion on strengthening stability and prosperity through regional cooperation and integration into the European Union. Albania maintains a clear and firm position in favor of peaceful conflict resolution, strong ties with the EU, and a steadfast commitment to EU membership. We are moving rapidly towards integration, while remaining loyal to the democratic values of the Euro-Atlantic Alliance. EU member states should offer political and concrete support for our accession to the Union, ensuring that the perspective of integration remains real and credible for the entire region.
