Lu Lei, Vice President of the People's Bank of China, Attends the Plenary Meeting of the Financial Stability Council

On June 11, 2025, Lu Lei, Vice President of the People's Bank of China, attended the plenary meeting of the Financial Stability Council in Madrid, Spain. The meeting approved the appointment of Andrew Bailey, the Governor of the Bank of England, as the Chairman of the Financial Stability Board, and discussed topics such as global financial system vulnerability, non bank financial intermediation, cryptocurrency assets, climate related financial risks, and risk management. During the meeting, Lu Lei expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the outgoing Chairman of the Financial Stability Board, Kras Nott, for his effective leadership and outstanding contributions, and congratulated Andrew Bailey on his election as Chairman. In addition, Lu Lei had a meeting with Ryozo Shimino, Chairman of the Standards Implementation Committee under the Financial Stability Board and Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan, to exchange views on issues such as the implementation of international financial regulatory standards and national peer evaluations.
