It sounds like his 55% tweet is likely - matter of “new tariffs” at 30% plus existing tariffs (justified by a myriad of reasons like fentanyl) at 25% or something.
This admin has all these split out tariffs with weird names and justifications that makes it hard to track.
But sounds like the net outcome is still 55%.
If it were 30% that’d be better for the consumer but worse for US manufacturing, as its high enough to cost more but not high enough to justify moving your supply chain state side
