India's CBI cracks down on transnational cybercrime gang, seizes $327000 worth of cryptocurrency

According to Golden Finance, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of India recently arrested a man named Rahul Arora in Delhi and seized $327000 (approximately 280 million rupees) worth of cryptocurrency and $26400 (approximately 220000 rupees) worth of cash, successfully solving a transnational cybercrime case targeting victims in the United States and Canada. During raids at three locations, investigators discovered tools used in the crime, including international calling equipment, caller ID forgery software, social engineering tools, and voice recordings. This operation is part of the CBI "Chakra-V" multi agency cooperation program, which collaborates with agencies such as Interpol and FBI to combat cross-border cybercrime.
