BlockBeats News: On June 11th, Ethereum developer P é ter Szil á gyi and Tomasz Sta ń czak, the joint executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, had a dispute. Szil á gyi stated that as a key member of the Geth (the main client software for Go Ethereum) development team, the foundation has proposed several times in the past to bid $5 million for the Geth team to become independent and separate from the foundation. However, Szil á gyi and his team members rejected this proposal and chose to remain within the foundation. Previously, the Ethereum Foundation provided $5 million in unconditional funding support to Parity (another Ethereum client development company) to ensure that the Ethereum network has multiple clients and reduce dependence on Geth, indicating the Foundation's long-term intention to diversify client development responsibilities.
Tomasz Sta ń czak, Co Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, clarified in a statement that there are no plans to remove Geth. It is a great client software and a talented team that contributes to protocol security. We will maintain/support Geth
