The Federal Reserve will maintain interest rate stability at least in September
The latest data from a survey of 105 economists conducted from June 5th to 10th shows that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged and will not cut rates until at least September.
Almost everyone (specifically 105 people) has stated that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will maintain interest rates at a range of 4.25% to 4.50% at its meeting on June 17-18, which is consistent with the interest rate range that has been maintained since the beginning of this year.
What is the only reason? Inflation has not yet subsided, and the labor market has not shown enough pressure to force the Federal Reserve to take action.
