After reading this AI Layer1 report, you will find that the current DeAI track is in the early exploration period of "clear division of labor but insufficient collaboration".
Each project has its own entry point - @ SentientAGI focuses on model loyalty, @ SaharaLabsAI focuses on data ownership, @ ritualnet optimizes computing power allocation, @ gensynai solves AI training challenges, Bittensor TAO builds incentive networks, and @ 0G_labs focuses on storage infrastructure.
This self operated development model, although promoting the diversification of technological innovation, also exposes a core issue: decentralized AI has not yet found a true combination standard.
Just as various DeFi protocols developed independently in the early days, it wasn't until liquidity mining and composability matured that the ecosystem exploded. AI Layer1 is also waiting for such a LEGO collaborative moment to drive the arrival of the main wave.
The composability of DeFi is relatively simple - it revolves around the flow of funds and has relatively uniform standards. But AI involves four dimensions: data, models, computing power, and storage. The technical standards, verification mechanisms, and incentive models for each dimension are different, making it more difficult to achieve unified combination.
I think the collaborative explosion moment that belongs to AI Layer 1 may come from two directions: either a project will develop factual standards after it becomes bigger and stronger (such as Bittensor's subnet mode already has this trend), or a dedicated "protocol protocol" will emerge to specifically address interoperability issues between different AI Layers 1.
