The 7-day transaction average of the Bitcoin network has dropped to about 317000, the lowest level since October 2023, despite BTC prices approaching historical highs. On June 1st, only 256000 transactions were packaged, and some miners began accepting transactions below the default forwarding standard (1 sat/vB). On June 6th, 31 Bitcoin Core developers jointly issued a letter opposing node filtering of low fee or non-standard transactions, stating that this deviates from Bitcoin's anti censorship principles, and warning that private channels such as Slipstream may weaken decentralization.
