According to CNBC, the biometric project World (formerly Worldcoin) co founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will launch operations in London, UK on June 12th and plans to expand to several other major cities in the UK in the coming months, including Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast, and Glasgow. The project aims to use its Orb device to verify human identity and prevent fraudulent abuse of artificial intelligence systems such as deep forgery.
