California appeals against Trump administration's tariff policy violation case

BlockBeats News: On June 5th, California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement on June 2nd local time, stating that he has appealed the latest ruling of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California in the case of California v. Trump Administration for Customs Policy Violations. California previously filed a lawsuit in the Northern District Court on April 16th on behalf of the state government and Governor Gavin Newson, accusing the federal government of violating the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" policy under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and claiming that this action harms the broad interests of states, consumers, and businesses. California was also the first state to sue the Trump administration over tariffs. The Federal District Court for the Northern District of California rejected the California government's lawsuit on the 2nd. Bonta immediately issued a statement saying that the California government plans to immediately appeal to the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals located in San Francisco. The California government's move aims to determine the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California over this lawsuit through the ruling of the appellate court.
