When I was very young (1970s) the government implemented spending bills costing millions. When I was in college (late 1980s), the government implemented spending bills costing billions. Today, the government’s spending bills are measured in the trillions. The trillion figure is so HUGE it’s difficult to grasp just how large of a number it really is. A million dollars per day - every day - until today - since the crucifixion of Christ - does not equal one trillion. One trillion seconds equals 31,709 years and 289 days.  That’s how LARGE of a number one trillion equals. And our elected leaders run a deficit of TWO TRILLION DOLLARS EVERY YEAR. “The U.S. national debt is rising by 1T every 180 days.” 👇 And some political pundits are upset at @elonmusk for calling this out because they perceive calling it out as going against @realDonaldTrump. 🤦‍♂️ Calling it out is the more patriotic thing to do. I have a 6 year old daughter and my country - the one I served in the Marine Corps - is robbing her of her freedom because our elected representatives are intent on creating a system of debt slavery. On behalf of her and my other two daughters (25 & 23), GFY.
