Overtaking on a bend, BNBChain may exert force on PayFi
There has been a lot of buzz about a VIP core circle event on Binance these days, and one detail caught the attention of Xiao A - the black card.
This is a VISA black card for VIPs. I guess it is most likely to be used to connect with Binance Pay and CEX assets, enabling KYC free consumption, deposit and withdrawal functions.
Another U-card? This is interesting.
Let's sneak in!
⬇️
The term PayFi was coined by the chairman of the Solana Foundation, and many people's attention naturally shifted to Solana. Indeed, many star projects of PayFi have chosen to deploy in Solana, and the entire ecosystem also has strong support intentions.
Where is BNBChain? Most people are still stuck in the impression of Memen, brushing Alpha transactions, and outdated infrastructure. In fact, PayFi, the foundation of the Binance system, is really a beauty embryo.
Let's take a horizontal look first.
BNBChain, as a customized high-speed chain, is compatible with EVM, low transaction fees, and high-speed confirmation blocks, making it a natural infrastructure for PayFi.
I searched and found that @ 0xinfini's card, Bitget's card, and Bybit's card all support BNBChain recharge. So, silently, amidst the hustle and bustle outside, BNBChain not only remained present, but also became a must-have infrastructure project.
Besides blockchain, it has to be said that stablecoins.
Most PayFi cannot bypass stablecoins. Binance has moved three times with stablecoins and has repeatedly failed. There is no other way, this is really not an easy job. Okay, now USD1 is here. Assuming, I'm just assuming, is USD1 interesting as a stablecoin supported by PayFi across the entire system?
Thanks to the recent popularity of Alpha, the trading volume and user base of BNBChain have also surged, which undoubtedly provides PayFi with a huge high-quality user base. If you do a project and directly connect, it should be considered a significant benefit.
Looking vertically again.
Binance Pay has always existed, with the app allowing users to directly top up their phones, send red envelopes, and make payments, and more features available on the website. Do you remember Swipe, teacher? After Binance's acquisition, it became Binance Card, which should have been one of the earliest U-cards, but unfortunately it was discontinued in 2023.
The black card leaked during this VIP event, should this project have come back to life?
Overall, Binance Pay is a core component of PayFi in the BNB Chain ecosystem, and can also be combined with DeFi protocols such as PancakeSwap and Venus Protocol to support payment related liquidity provision and revenue generation.

If Binance Card is revived, then we still need to pay attention to payment related service projects such as MoonPay, Transak, Simplex, etc. Are there any other projects worth paying attention to?
Really, you can follow PAN @ Pan_Scosystem.
At first, I came across a bunch of bizarre meme images and even lucky draws, but the introduction was about Bridging Real World and Crypto Finance, so I clicked on it to learn more.
The top post is a card, a black card with Pan written in the upper left corner and airdrop in the lower right corner??? On the back, it says the largest gift away in South Korea, and overseas KOLs have made a lot of it.
Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that they were conducting landing activities in South Korea, and there were also synchronized activities online. The gameplay of speaking in person was directly linked to card consumption and token airdrops.
The payment network used by PAN is the Bitcoin Lightning Network, which allows users to run dedicated PAN nodes without advanced technology and participate in the network through "plug and play" hardware to earn tokens. On the other hand, it also solves the pain point of the lack of incentives in the Lightning Network.
Some Korean KOLs have already obtained hardware nodes on site, but they have not yet been publicly released. The U-card should be integrated into the native BNBChain network, amplifying the advantages of the Lightning network and BNBChain.
At present, there is relatively little information disclosed, and the main members of the team come from Citibank Bybit、BNBChain, The project also received investment from traditional banks, with early support from Bessemer Bank and several banks in Southeast Asia.
Our partners have recently launched many projects on BN Alpha, such as B2 and PumpBTC, which may involve Bitcoin stablecoin payments and node infrastructure. The main followers are a group of overseas Degen whales, communities, and KOLs.
From this perspective, the team's capabilities and resource composition should span across Web2 and Web3, so it's no wonder the introduction is written as bridging the real world and blockchain. Overall, the goal should be to use PAN nodes as payment gateways, integrate traditional financial resources and payment licenses, and build a Bitcoin first global settlement layer, but the foothold should be BNBChain.
Why? I saw that they are collaborating with many tools and communities in South Korea, and I feel that in order to attract many new South Korean users to BNBChain, we should first focus on governance tokens and payment deposits/withdrawals on BNBChain in the future.
Currently, the tweets are all about landing promotions in South Korea and Southeast Asia, and there is not much information available in Chinese yet. I have been organizing events with the largest media in South Korea these days, and many founders of top Korean institutions have gone.
As a combination of PayFi, U-card DePin、 Lightning Network and BNBChain payment gateway have various buffs, and I will pay further attention to PAN. The earlier, the more hairy, right?
By the way, one more thing, how do we track projects? The one I currently use the most is @ RootDataCrypto, and I also recommend it:
