We’re building a future where no child starts life at a disadvantage. That’s why we’ve launched the Hope for Children Trust Fund, seeded with 200 million, to provide long-term savings for children in low-income households and state care. If your child was born after Jamaica’s 60th Independence and is on PATH or in state care, they are eligible. The Government will make annual deposits into a secure savings account for each child, accessible when they turn 18, to pursue university, start a business, or buy a home. This is how we break the cycle of intergenerational poverty and build a more equitable Jamaica, where every young person has something to build on. We are leveling the playing field for our youth. We are investing in Jamaica’s future. We are creating real hope for every generation.
