BlackRock Bitcoin ETF attracts record breaking capital inflows, Bitcoin prices have recently hit historic highs

BlackRock's iShares Anshuo Bitcoin Trust ETF attracted the highest monthly inflow of funds in May, during which the price of this cryptocurrency reached a historic high and was touted by more supporters as an alternative store of value. The data shows that this fund attracted a net inflow of over 6.35 billion US dollars in the current month, the highest level since its launch in January 2024. This surge has brought its total assets under management to over $71 billion, highlighting the growing interest of institutions in Bitcoin amidst global market turbulence. The surge in demand seems to mainly come from institutional investors seeking to invest in regulated Bitcoin products amid economic uncertainty and inflation concerns, "said Kirill Kretov, a trading automation expert at CoinPanel. It is worth noting that some of the demand comes from internal sources, as BlackRock's own strategic return opportunity investment portfolio, a diversified fixed income mutual fund, has increased its holdings in the aforementioned Bitcoin trust ETF.
