A federal judge in Washington has suspended the implementation of the tariff order for 14 days. The unaffected tariffs are Article 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962: Tariffs imposed on industries such as steel, aluminum, and automobiles on the grounds of national security remain valid. Article 301 of the Trade Law of 1974: Tariffs imposed on unfair trade practices (such as intellectual property issues in China) remain valid. All other basic tariffs and equivalent tariffs have been suspended.
