Wu Shuo learned that according to Dongsen News, there has been a new development in the case of Lin Ruixiang, a former student of National Taiwan University who is suspected of establishing a drug trading platform on the dark web. According to reports, Lin was attacked by hackers in February 2024, resulting in the theft of his cryptocurrency and non fungible token (NFT) assets. Hackers disguised themselves as investors to lure Lin into downloading software containing malicious programs, thereby stealing his digital assets. Lin once prominently displayed his trading status on social media, showing that his monthly trading volume exceeded $1 million and he owns multiple Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. Lin was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in May 2024. Previously, the dark web platform it operated was shut down and restarted, and users were required to pay a confidentiality fee of $20000, otherwise their personal information would be leaked. https://www.
