Glassnode: BTC old holders' activity has increased, with a transfer volume of $4.02 billion among holders over the past 1-5 years

According to GlassNode data, the activity of Bitcoin's veteran holders has significantly increased recently, with a total transfer volume of $4.02 billion for the 1-5 year holding group, the highest level since February this year. Among them, the 3-5 year holding group contributed 2.16 billion US dollars, the second highest in this cycle, second only to the 6 billion US dollars in March 2024; 2-3 years of coin holders contributing 1.41 billion US dollars; The group holding coins for 1-2 years contributed $450 million. The transfer activity of the 1-5 year coin holding group is the fifth peak of this cycle, mainly driven by old coin holders. Looking back at other transfer peaks of this cycle: $9.25 billion in October 2024 (1-2 year group dominance), $6.11 billion in March 2024 (2-3 year group dominance), $5.42 billion in February 2025 (2-3 year group dominance), and $4.39 billion in November 2024 (3-5 year group dominance). The current level of activity indicates that old holders are accelerating the release of their bitcoins.
