Odaily Planet Daily News: OKX Global General Counsel Melissa Muehlfeld has officially resigned. She joined OKcoin, the US subsidiary of OKX, as Deputy General Counsel in May 2022 and was promoted to Global General Counsel of OKX in August 2024. This marks another progress in OKX's recent restructuring of its legal and compliance team. In February of this year, OKX has replaced several executives, including former Chief Legal Officer Mauricio Beugelmans and Compliance Director Vanessa Zhang, after reaching a settlement with the US Department of Justice (DoJ) and paying $500 million. Currently, the position has been taken over by Linda Lacewell, former head of the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). According to sources, Lacewell is currently restructuring OKX's legal and compliance framework after taking office. OKX officials have not commented on individual incidents, and Muehlfeld has not responded to requests for comment. (CoinDesk)
