According to AXIOS, Meta Platforms (META. O) is restructuring its artificial intelligence team to accelerate the launch of new products and features. In an internal memo released on Tuesday, Chief Product Officer Chris Cox announced that the new architecture will divide the team into two parts: ① Artificial Intelligence Product Team: led by Connor Hayes, responsible for Meta AI Assistant, AI Studio tools, and AI feature development within Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. ② General Artificial Intelligence Foundation Team: Co led by Ahmad Al Dahle and Amir Frenkel, covering Llama model development, inference capability enhancement, multimedia and speech technology, etc. The company's original AI research department FAIR (Basic Artificial Intelligence Research) remains independent, but a specific team focused on multimedia technology will be merged into the newly established AGI Foundation team.
