Cetus releases theft incident report, will advance LP recovery plan and strengthen security audit Cetus has officially released a report regarding the theft of CLMM liquidity pool on May 22nd. Attackers exploit vulnerabilities in open source libraries, lower pool prices to build positions, inject artificially high liquidity through overflow checks, remove liquidity multiple times to extract assets, and ultimately steal funds. Cetus responded immediately and, with the support of most Sui verification nodes, urgently froze the attacker's two Sui wallet addresses containing the main stolen funds. The remaining funds have been transferred across chains by hackers. At present, Cetus is working with Sui's security team and auditing agency to re-examine contracts and conduct joint audits to ensure secure recovery of services. We will also strengthen on chain monitoring and auditing. At the same time, Cetus is developing an LP recovery plan, calling on Sui validators to support the vote, and issuing an ultimatum to attackers. The community will continue to be informed of progress.
