One of the most controversial cryptocurrency events in recent times, apart from Bitcoin ——Trump held a private dinner for top TRUMP holders, and Sun Yuchen appeared to speak. The lowest ticket cost was only $1200, and there were continuous protests outside the venue. On the evening of May 22nd, Trump held a closed door dinner exclusively for TRUMP holders at his golf club in Washington. The venue prohibits filming, and attendees include Tron founder Sun Yuchen (TRUMP's largest holder), Magic Eden CEO, BitMart founder, Synthetix founder, etc. According to Nansen data, a total of 220 invited participants invested nearly $400 million, with an average cost of about $1.78 million per person. However, some traders only spent $1200 to qualify for tickets through arbitrage. According to The Guardian, approximately 43% of coin holders are actually in a loss making state. Before the dinner, the top 25 holders were invited to visit the White House and received a special reception. Trump delivered a speech on site, stating that "the United States is the global capital of encryption," expressing support for the cryptocurrency industry despite the lack of novelty in his remarks. Sun Yuchen spoke during the banquet, calling it the "best era". He believed that Meme coin was a "manifestation of entrepreneurial spirit" and strongly supported Trump's decision to include encryption in the national agenda as the "wisest decision". But this dinner was not without controversy, with over a hundred protesters gathered outside the club. Democrats and some Republicans also criticized it, questioning the existence of a "disguised political transaction" behind the TRUMP token. As Trump gets closer to the cryptocurrency industry, regulatory and ethical discussions surrounding the operation of his Meme coin are becoming increasingly intense.
