Article Preview | "Storytelling as Power" A Comparative Analysis of Organizational Communication Strategies in Coinbase, FTX, and Binance Stories are not just tools for dissemination, but a construction and application of power This is a sentence I wrote on paper after eating a melon from a certain exchange. Why is Storytelling called Power? In the encryption industry, information asymmetry is severe, and the vast majority of users' decisions are not based on data or technology, but on "trust" - and this trust often comes from "stories". For example, the myth of the "moral capitalist" told by FTX. Who is telling a story, what kind of story is told, and how it is told determines who is trusted and who is followed. In the governance environment of Web3, which is characterized by vague systems and scarce trust, Organizational narrative has become the main battlefield for the struggle for "defining power". This precisely reflects Foucault's view of power: Power does not lie in institutions, but in who holds the logic of discourse With this perspective in mind, I wrote a comparative analysis article focusing on the differences in organizational narrative logic and strategies among Coinbase, FTX, and Binance exchanges. After finishing writing, I found that there are actually 5000 words. I am currently editing and will release a bilingual version in both Chinese and English in the future. 📍 Content keywords: Web3 communication, organizational storytelling, trust building, brand management.
