ZKsync community votes on proposal to exchange recycled ETH for ZK tokens

According to Foresight News, the proposal by the ZKsync community to authorize the ZKsync Security Council to exchange recycled ETH for ZK tokens has been voted on by GAP-3 today and has received a majority of support. The proposal states that, considering the possibility of arbitrage and market manipulation, the method and timing of exchanging ETH for ZK tokens will not be publicly disclosed in advance. Foresight News previously reported that ZKsync was attacked in April 2025, resulting in unclaimed airdrop tokens being stolen. The $5 million stolen funds from the subsequent attack have been refunded by hackers.
