I spoke with Prime Minister of Poland @donaldtusk about the presidential elections, next steps towards peace, and the opening of negotiation clusters in Ukraine’s EU accession process. It is important that Poland remains a reliable partner and friend. Much depends on our unity, shared position, and coordinated actions – especially when it comes to security. Honoring historical memory with dignity is an important aspect of Ukrainian-Polish relations, and we are working on this together with mutual respect. I informed Prime Minister Tusk about the conversation with President Trump and European leaders, and shared details about the preparations for our next steps. Pressure on Russia in response to the prolongation of the war must be biting. We also coordinated positions regarding the necessity to open the first negotiation clusters under Poland’s Presidency of the EU. Ukraine, for its part, has done everything necessary and deserves it.
