Odaily Daily News: Decentralized exchange Bancor has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Uniswap, accusing it of unauthorized use of Bancor's "Constant Product Automated Market Maker" (CPAMM) technology, which was patented in 2017. Bancor stated that the technology was designed in 2016 and patented in January 2017. The protocol launched by Uniswap in November 2018 is accused of using this invention. Bancor project leader Mark Richardson stated that due to Uniswap's unauthorized continued use of its invention to compete with Bancor, Bancor must take action. The lawsuit has been submitted to the Southern District Court of New York seeking compensation. As of press time, Uniswap has not publicly responded. According to DefiLlama data, Uniswap far exceeds Bancor in 24-hour trading volume. (Cointelegraph)
