It is deeply symbolic that today’s commemoration of the victims of political repressions takes place at the very moment when we and our partners have greatly intensified diplomatic efforts to end Russian aggression, bring all our people home from Russian captivity, and guarantee real peace. We do not forget what Moscow is and what evil has come from there for Ukrainians of modern generations and those before us. The independence and sovereignty of the Ukrainian state are the foundation for preserving our nation. Freedom for Ukrainians and for Ukrainian culture can only be ensured by guaranteeing reliable protection from Russia. In recent days, all our meetings and negotiations have been focused on security and peace for Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone around the world who stands with Ukraine. Eternal memory to our people whose lives were taken by the Russian repressive system. We will definitely defend our state and our people. Glory to Ukraine!
