The Bitcoin developer dramas are very similar to banking committee dramas. Egos and incentivizes flash, interest groups form. Bitcoin enjoyed preferential status not just because of its design, but because of its neutrality and lack of traditional governance. Dramas aren’t great. It’s unclear whether the infighting will lead to greater strength or ultimately irrelevance.
