The author of the Bitcoin Standard provides funding to support developers in cracking down on junk data on the BTC chain
According to Cointelegraph, economist and author of the Bitcoin Standard, Saifedean Ammous, expressed willingness to invest in supporting full-time developers to increase the cost of spam inscriptions on the Bitcoin network in order to curb their proliferation.
He compared this issue to spam emails and believed that the generation of junk data should be made more expensive through technological means to reduce its impact on the network. Saifedean Ammous emphasized that cracking down on junk data is not censorship, but a legitimate means for node operators to maintain network health. He also proposed to 'abandon' the work of developers who specialize in developing junk data tools, and even hire external developers to suppress these systems.
