Odaily Planet Daily reported that American artist Ed Suman lost approximately $2 million worth of cryptocurrency assets due to a carefully designed scam phone call. It is reported that an imposter claiming to be a "Coinbase security advisor" called, claiming that his account had security risks and demanding his cooperation in transferring assets to ensure "fund security". In the following days, the fraudster continued to communicate with the victim and guided them to transfer funds from their Coinbase account to a wallet address controlled by the fraudster. The victim holds BTC, ETH, and multiple altcoins on the Coinbase platform, with a total amount exceeding $2 million. (Bloomberg)
