Painter @ CryptoPainter_X asked the question of "Rocket", and this pushed to explain what the zk fraud proof of @ boundlesss_xyz is and why I think it is the "Wang Fei" function of @ boundlesss_xyz. <Optimistic Rollup vs. ZK Rollup vs. Hybrid Rollup> Optimistic Rollup uses fraud proof, ZK Rollup uses zk validity proof, and Hybrid Rollup uses zk fraud proof. The limitation of ORUs is that they require a longer challenge period, typically 7 days. The finality of the transaction depends on the length of the challenge period, which explains why it takes 7 days for Optimism and other ORUs funds to withdraw from the second tier to the main network. @The zk fraud proof mechanism of boundless_xyz is precisely designed to solve the problem of long challenge periods for ORUs and achieve fast finality of transactions. All of this cannot be achieved without a software suite developed by Kailua - @ boundless_xyz's parent company @ RiscZero for upgrading ORUs to Hybrid ZK Rollup. <Kailua Implementation Principle> Why do ORUs have a longer challenge period (7 days)? Based on this mechanism, it is optimistically believed that Rollup transactions submitted by the sorter are valid. During the challenge period, if the verifier finds invalid transactions, they can initiate fraud proof. If no one challenges after the challenge period, it is assumed that the transaction is valid and has finality. The 7-day challenge period is to reserve enough time to prevent potential malicious behavior, which will not be discussed here. If you want to delve deeper, you can refer to my previous tweet: https://(x.com)/y_cryptoanalyst/status/1629127777017532416 Based on the Kailua suite of @ boundless_xyz, ORUs can be migrated from long-term interactive fraud proof systems to short-term non interactive fraud proofs generated using RISC zkVM. The challenger eliminated the complex multi round interaction of traditional fraud proofs by generating zk fraud proofs, shortening the transaction finality from 7 days to about 1 hour. For ORUs, outsourcing the challenge mechanism to @ boundless_xyz is simpler and more efficient, without the need to build complex and expensive zk proof infrastructure on their own, and all of this is achieved without sacrificing security. Can mass adoption be achieved with<@ boundless_xyz Kailua+ORUs? > I think there is no doubt about it. For ORUs, Kailua based hybrid Rollup is the optimal phased solution for ORUs to fully transition to ZK Rollup. Kailua, as a universal infrastructure, is currently compatible with any ORUs built on OP Stack @The ecological map of B-end users on the boundless_xyz Rollup chain is expanding in an orderly manner, and it is expected that more Rollup chains will join soon after @ Eclipse FND/@ build_on_bob/@ soon_svm.
