AI people don't talk enough about political power I don't mean U.S. vs China or Left vs Right I mean top vs bottom Like ChatGPT remembering our entire lives would be incredibly useful and has the potential to give all of us superpowers But not if a centralized actor has the ability to see all our memories, manipulate the output, and use it to control us So anytime big AI talks about their plans I also want them talking about - Encryption - Privacy - Security - User sovereignty - Transparency What are the civil liberties of users? What rights are protected? Give us a constitution and bill of rights. This is something I learned from crypto Powerful technology is only good if the power resides in the hands of the people Without these protections the outlook is extremely dystopian
