According to Golden Finance, in response to the rejection of the settlement motion between Ripple and the SEC by the Southern District Court of New York on the grounds of procedural impropriety, Stuart Alderoty, the Chief Legal Officer of Ripple, stated that this ruling will not change the final outcome of Ripple's victory (i.e. XRP does not belong to securities, etc.), and Ripple and the SEC fully agree to resolve this case and will jointly discuss the litigation issues with the court. According to encryption journalist Eleanor Terrett, there is still a turning point in this case. Although Judge Anastasia Torres rejected the settlement motion, as long as Ripple and the SEC can meet legal standards and provide convincing reasons to prove that it is in the best interests of the public and XRP institutional buyers, there is still a chance for a settlement.
