Coinbase plans to pay $180-400 million in compensation to customers due to data breach incident

Odaily Planet Daily News: Coinbase has revealed that the previous data breach was caused by some customer service employees being bribed by cybercriminals. The attackers obtained sensitive information such as users' names, addresses, phone numbers, and some social security numbers. Coinbase stated that it expects to pay compensation of $180 million to $400 million for this incident and promises to compensate affected users.
It is reported that Coinbase has offered a reward of $20 million for clues leading to the attacker's arrest. The company has dismissed the employees involved and will file criminal charges against them. (CoinDesk)
