Hackers are calling for Coinbase to pay up or else they will share personal info they "appear" to have obtained from bribing COIN workers. The hackers are asking for 20 million. Less than 1% of Coinbase's monthly transacting customers were impact. The company's preliminarily estimate of the cost is "approximately 180 million to 400 million," per a SEC filing. At this point, COIN says there's been "no compromise of passwords or private keys" and targeted workers weren't ever able to access customer funds. https://www.coinbase.com/blog/protecting-our-customers-standing-up-to-extortionists https://d18rn0p25nwr6d.cloudfront.net/CIK-0001679788/300c7bd0-d31d-4252-bf75-fa847ab81be1.pdf
