Circle announced that USDC has officially launched Sonic Labs and will complete the upgrade from the cross chain version to the native version by May 2025, with no additional action required by users. Before the upgrade, the supply of Bridged USDC on Sonic had increased to $500 million. After the upgrade, CCTP V2 will be launched synchronously, supporting almost instant cross chain USDC transfer and achieving automated operations through Hooks.
