Odaily Planet Daily News: The Infinite Node Foundation (SIDE) announced the acquisition of CryptoPunks' intellectual property from Yuga Labs and an additional $25 million donation, becoming the non-profit organization in the United States currently investing the most in the field of digital art.
CryptoPunks was launched by Larva Labs in 2017, with total sales exceeding $3 billion to date, and is considered the starting point of the modern digital art movement.
Nose stated that it will 'liberate' the series towards a community driven decentralized future and will hold the first full exhibition of 10000 works at its new exhibition hall in Palo Alto, which will run Ethereum nodes to ensure the on chain permanence of the works. Original authors Matt Hall and John Watkinson will join the consulting team to jointly promote project development.
